Parker O-Ring Lubrication
Parker OLube 884-2 is a barium base petroleum grease formulated to facilitate installation and extend service life of synthetic rubber O-rings and seals. A thin film of Parker O-Lube applied to the seal itself as well as the surfaces over which the seal will travel is suggested for best results.
Parker O-Lube combines excellent surface adherence characteristics and lubricity with inherent water resistance. This lubricant is especially recommended for low pressure pneumatic systems as well as reciprocating and low speed rotary or oscillating applications.
Parker O-Lube is sold in 2oz tubes and is recommended for use with Viton ® Fluorocarbon FKM, Markez ® Kalrez ® FFKM, NBR Buna-N Nitrile, HNBR, Polyurethane, Aflas ®, Fluorosilicone, Polyacrylate, Vamac ®, Neoprene ® materials. Parker O-Lube is NOT recommended for use in systems having micronic filters or in contact with seal materials unsuited for petroleum oil service such as silicone, butyl or ethylene propylene. For these applications use Parker Super O-Lube should be considered.
Temperature range is -20°F to +300°F.
Parker Super O-lube
Parker Super O-Lube SLube 884-2 is a silicone based lubricant intended to compliment Parker O-Lube. Super O-lube is sold in 2oz tubes and can be used with virtually any rubber polymer. Super O-Lube can also be used over a wider temperature range and in most cases will provide improved environmental protection to the elastomer. It is recommended that Super O-Lube be used sparingly as only a thin film is necessary for optimum results. This lubricant is useful with a wide variety of fluid media since it is quite inert. High pressure systems as well as vacuum uses are typical applications where Super O-Lube is beneficial.
Parker Super O-Lube is nontoxic and non-irritating under normal conditions. It will not clog 30 micron filters and is unusually moisture resistant and adheres with unusual tenacity.
Temperature range is -65°F to +400°F.
